  : The views and hotel aesthetics were worth the stay. The amenities, specifically the breakfast bar and the rides to/from the hotel, were also wonderful perks. Most of all, we really enjoyed our interactions with the staff. They were all incredibly hospitable and helpful.
  : Because the property itself is older, there are some things that can’t be helped. For example, we found a few potato bugs that entered the crevasses of our room every day. (We just removed them when we’d find them.) There was also a mild musty smell that I chalked up to the age of the property, but it got better after opening the windows.

  : We did a quick trip to Catalina for our anniversary and the photos of this hotel sold us on it. The staff were very friendly, the golf cart rides to and from town were so convenient, and although they have a hard checkout time of 11am, we left our baggage with them and scheduled someone to bring it to us and drop us off at the boat prior to our departure.Pros:Rides to and from downtown.Incredibly friendly staff.Clean-ish.Beautiful views from the hotel balconies.Free breakfast in the morning at the restaurant patio (coffee, bacon, sausage, muffins, bagels, etc..)
  : The #1 negative of our stay was due to the bed and pillows being SO uncomfortable in Room 109. It was an obviously a very old spring mattress and the pillows had zero support and would flatten out as soon as you put your head on it. Terrible night of sleep and back/neck pain the next day, thankfully we only stayed 1 night. Sadly, solely because of how uncomfortable the bed and pillows were I'm sorry to say I don't think l'd ever stay here again.The view from our roomwas only from the entry so in order to see it we had to keep window and door shades raised and people walking by could see right into our room.The sink in our room wouldn't drain so the spit from brushing our teeth would just sit in there for 30+ minutes.

  : The shuttle to and from town was really convenient, and staff were very accommodating.
  : The room was very dark and smelled musty/moldy. There was also construction or some kind of ongoing noise above us all day.It rained very hard fir 2 if tge three days we were on Catalaina, so views were obstructed or very minimal by fog/cloud cover. Before booking this more expensive hotel, consider the season to determine if the lovely views will be visible.

  : Views were incredible. Bedding was clean. Offered rides to/from town from 8am-10pm via golf cart which was super helpful.
  : Amenities were not worth the price. Stayed in a standard queen room for over $500/night for bare minimum hotel services. No room service, no phone in the room, no bath, no elevator directly to room - lots of stairs. Just seems overpriced in my opinion.
