  : This was the worst experience I have had while booking a vacation. I booked about a month in advance, and the day before my vacation, I got an email saying Sonder had cancelled my reservation. They stated they only accept reservations they’re confident won’t violate house rules. I got this email minutes after submitting my photo (a required process for check in and key retrieval). I have been trying to contact them for a week and a half, and each associate tells me a different thing. Some offer reasons why it was cancelled, and others say they aren’t allowed to say why it was cancelled. I was told management would contact me within 48 hours, and it has now been 10 days and I have heard nothing. I have tried to assume the best in the company, but knowing my reservation was only cancelled after they saw my appearance, especially being a person of color, is very telling.

  : room was spacious and enjoyed the rooftop.
  : property was surrounded by homeless tents. had to be careful where you walked parking gate was broken which made it inconvenient.

  : Bed was very comfortable. Place was clean. Soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, hair dryer, nice closet hangers, portable fans, and secure internet access were provided. Felt safe once inside building and apartment.
  : Neighborhood rundown and in process of being renewed with lots of homeless people, many with apparent mental health issues. No restaurants nearby but Smart & Final across the street and Albertsons within a few blocks. Kitchen table sticky and stained. Could not turn off TV monitor, which is not connected to any stations but can stream your personal accounts.

  : Had kitchen and associated amenities, which was good with two small kids.
  : Air condition units didn't work well. Couldn't get it below 80 degrees the entire time. Floors were dirty. Otherwise room was clean. Location was pretty good, except lots of homeless around the area which seems like general problem downtown.

  : Decent sized place and not _too_ far from places I wanted to go.
  : The WiFi was out for three out of five nights. I didn't come for digital detox and my UK SIM card roaming is no joke. The TV didn't have an aerial or any other method of getting content other than WiFi, leaving me with nothing to watch and minimal internet when at the apartment.There's a fierce light directly outside the bedroom window that's on 24x7. Surprisingly bright at night which made it difficult to sleep. A blackout roller blind over the existing blinds would help a lot.The aircon had a pump that was very noisy meaning it had to be off at night.

  : We liked that it was walking distance to Gaslamp area.
  : Absolutely NO parking. If you were lucky enough to find a spot, you had to pay by the hour between 8am and 6pm. We just found a long term lot for reasonable price. Good thing we like to walk.
