  : This property had been very well cared for. It is old and doesn’t have all the trappings of more expensive motels, but it was immaculate and convenient and showed efforts to have been updated. It had all the necessary amenities and I appreciated my stay.

  : New flooring, new toilet/sink.
  : Stayed here for a few years for quick night, just wanted comfy bed/decent price. This year I tried to change to 1 day earlier than just booked and they upped price saying it's July 4 week so more $. OK I changed from Wed to tues? Bed not soft enough for me anymore. There was a horrible stench the moment you walk in the door. Looks like need a better maid service. Now going to get place more convenient to freeway with a breakfast for the price I paid and hopefully a softer bed. Sage n sand just lost a repeat customer.

  : Didn’t have a breakfast except a coffee station in the lobby. Parking was good. I got a spot directly outside my door. It had a coffee pot, microwave and frig. It was also close to the fairgrounds.
  : I chose this motel for price and it had a pool which I wanted so my grandsons could go swimming after competing all day in a hot rodeo arena. The location was great only a short drive to the fairgrounds. When I opened my door I felt I was in an episode of I Love Lucy. All the furnishings except for tv were very dated. The bed was comfortable but the chairs were not. I had to sit on the bed to comfortably watch tv. The bathroom was very small and the shower was dated and very small. I arrived at night so I didn’t see that the pool didn’t have water in it till the morning. I knew my grandsons ages 12, 4 and 5 were going to be disappointed as they were looking forward to swimming after being in a hot, dusty arena all afternoon. We were going to go swimming before dinner. Also I opened the curtains to let the sunshine in and the curtain fell down. I told the man at the front desk about the curtain when he informed me the curtains were not to be open. When I returned to my room that evening the curtain wasnt put back up, they were still laying diagonally across the window. While the window did have plastic shades when the sun came up in the morning my room lite up like a Christmas tree. I was awaken before 6 am It was going to be a long day. The $25 a day that I saved wasn’t worth it. I probably will never stay in an independent motel again. I’ll stick with chain motel.
