  : The pools were great! I visited the pools and had a great time in all of them. There are a few restaurants throughout the resort. I didn't visit them though, as a vegeterian, I took a look at 2 menus and mostly only have pizza and fries. But for those who eat anything, there are endless options. The view of the outdoors, by the river are great! The central air in the room worked very good!
  : I know check in is at 4pm. I did arrive at 3:30pm and was politely told I had to wait until after 4pm because they were running behind on cleaning. I was told I would be sent a text message when my room was ready and I decided to go back and check at 4:45pm because I had not received any message and the room was ready. Others were there complaining they had not received messages either. I did have some perishables on me that got ruined. The mini fridge works but doesn't keep items as cold. I asked if I would be able to get a microwave in the room because of a diet restriction but was told that they would not be able to do that. The room seemed clean but upon inspection, the bathroom was filled with spring tails. These are harmless insects, but they are a nuissance, especially when there are a lot of them. They are attracted to humidity. The room was very stuffy when the AC was not on. There was hair on the bathroom floor. The bed, sadly, also had hairs and the spring tails. I stayed for 4 days and all 4 days I was constantly killing spring tails on the bed. I also came across 3 medium sized black spiders (1 on the bed) and a small roach. I understand I am surrounded by nature and in an outdoorsy area, but I am extremely scared of insects so it did affect my stay a bit.

  : The resort is beautiful. Great location & has a lot of amenities & activities. The rooms were clean & comfortable.
  : This resort isn’t really family friendly. They did have a DJ at the pool that did an activity for the kids, the lazy river pool was probably the only spot that was family oriented. However, the rest of the resort is more for older adults. We were traveling with a 2 & 4 year old, we were stared at multiple times & were made to feel very uncomfortable. The acoustics in the hotel area as well as the condo area are horrible. You will hear your neighbors! The staff doesn’t seem to want to listen long enough to know where you want to go or what you need. We had horrible servers at the restaurants as well. Upon voicing my concerns at the front desk, we were offered free breakfast. Unfortunately we had already eaten. We were then offered credit to get coffee before we left for the day.

  : The river pool was nice, breakfast buffet was ok.
  : The rooms need some work, mold was in the bathroom and the shower leaked after you used it. The first night we were there, we went to the eagles restaurant because it was all that was open at 7pm other then a pastry shop, the staff there was rude and I actually witnessed 2 people walk out, I got one of there specials that was not very good. So from there we decided to get food outside of the resort aside from the breakfast buffet which was good. Personally, for the price you pay I wouldn't go back, not as kid friendly as I was hoping, and calling it a 4 star resort is a bit of a stretch.

  : Room smelled old and musky. Looked outdated, no cleaning services unless requested. Breakfast was super expensive.

  : The grounds with lovely mature crepe myrtles and other landscaping and the beautiful golf course with views of the James River were the highlights.
  : The unit we were assigned was dark, dingy and needed maintenance.

  : Loved the river pool. Facilities were wonderful.
  : Delay in getting into condo. There was a problem with disposal/dishwasher. It was after the 4 pm check in time.
