  : It’s still a quiet and beautiful retreat - and you get to look out at and smell the redwoods without having to go anywhere
  : The Internet connection was down more than it was up. And the TV is now a streaming only device so that wasn’t available most of the time either.The bathroom in my cabin smelled very strongly of mildew despite days worth of attempts to air it out

  : It was cozy and the fireplace was nice! The parking was great. The room was warm and a nice size. Staff was friendly and helpful.
  : The place needs a little updating as the door was stuck, but nothing serious.

  : The cabin was exceptionally cute. The claw foot tub would be good for baths, and the propane “wood” stove was cozy.
  : Ventilation needs to be added. Opening the windows in the bedroom area and the bathroom to dry out the bathroom after showering, especially when there are no screens, is impractical because insects come in, and the technique simply doesn’t work in a generally damp environment. Our towels stayed damp, the bathroom floor was cold and clammy, and the propane stove just wasn’t enough to help with drying. The refrigerator was just too small to hold very much, and constantly defrosted causing lots of wetness inside, water was dripping off of everything. The internet kept kicking us off, and for the last 2 nights we didn’t even have tv because nothing would connect. Taking a shower in a claw foot bathtub is extremely dangerous because of the height, although there was a bath mat in the tub. Get out you have to step down about a foot, and slipping is a great concern. Not good for seniors or those with balance issues, or even kids who shower. The shower curtain clings to you the whole time you shower, which just feels gross.

  : The cabin itself along with the beds were very comfortable. It was nice that there were extra beds in the couches.
  : The kitchen lacked enough cooking appliances, to make a variety of meals for a whole family, e.g. mixing whisks, baking pan, large frying pans, safer mixing bowls, etc. The mixing bowl that is in the cabin looked worn, and when used, plastic chunks were in the food.
