  : The room was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated with lovely classical music playing when we arrived. The bed was very very comfortable and the environment of the whole place was very inviting and relaxing.
  : The shower was over the large spa bath and was dangerous to get in and out of. Elderly people would have no chance. Breakfast was poor - no granola in the container , one egg on a muffin completely covered in thick hollandaise sauce and tables with glass tops - not set for breakfast - no tablecloths . Not inviting at all

  : Well situated and the rooms have charm. Spa bath tub and fireplace.
  : Late check in at or after 4pm. They had a problem with their dryer so we could not check in until 5pm. I was never offered a discount but was given an early glass of red wine. The later check in resulted in a change of my plans and unfortunately affected and very much abbreviated a visit with an old friend I haven’t seen in close to 30 years. It would have been nice for them to have prorated my stay by some amount for the time I ended up losing. Then the property had some plumbing issues within the next hour the water was turned off for a while. I was grateful that I managed to shower and get ready to see my friend before that happened as we were not warned that it was going to happen. Then upon returning the seemingly beautiful comfortable bed turned out to be quite old and saggy and luckily we are small enough people we could sleep on it in the sideways direction. If we were unable to do this the only other option would have been to sleep on the floor. For $900 for 3 nights, I felt this was very poor value. Santa Cruz is my home town and I thought other properties would have been risky as many are repainted former run down places, but perhaps a different less expensive accommodation in this town would have been cheaper and more comfortable. Overall this experience was disappointing.

  : Busted toilet, rusty screw found on floor that I almost stepped on, lamp was askew and needed adjusting, busted window screen.
