  : I loved this home.... It had a cozy feel to it and I enjoyed the tall ceilings and charm that was inside. I appreciated the fully stocked kitchen, since I cooked during our stay. Large dining table for the kids and I to play games and enjoy dinner and breakfast. The location was super close to the Alamodome, which was also very nice. The front porch was nice and sunny in the morning. The home was very pretty and nicely decorated. I also loved the lighting, so many light switches and light fixtures, you could get the perfect lighting in any area.
  : I didn't feel completely safe. The outside gate was not able to close and lock. You could see straight through the front door and the kitchen windows as they did not have any window/door coverings. I didn't feel like I had privacy for my family. The back door was extremely difficult to lock and then nearly impossible to ensure it was locked without accidently opening it again. No locks on the bathroom and bedroom doors either. Outside noise level was pretty high... trains, traffic, dogs. There was a nail on the wall up high near the bunkbed ladder that got my son on the arm when he was getting into the top bunk. As a mother with three younger kids, this may have not been the best place for us.. regardless of how beautiful the home is. It was a sleepless night for mom. Also charged twice for $300 deposit.. so be mindful of that.

  : The response from the management was quick.
  : Very unsafe neighborhood. There was a robbery across the street on the first night. A truck was stolen from the business and busted through the chain gates. Police had to come. The second and third nights were filled with gunshots from rival gangs. This is absolutely unacceptable to rent a home in gang territory to unsuspecting tourists!! The place did not smell fresh. The couch was dirty and very uncomfortable. Yard was unkept. Many of the doors and gates wouldn't close. Furniture on patio was falling apart. One of the barstools is missing screws and wobbles. But by far the worst part was the very dangerous neighborhood. Apparently Historic charm means the Hood.
