: Nice quiet neighborhood and house was pet friendly
: The old rusty tent trailer and old boats in the driveway were ugly to see and master bathroom had a strong mildew smell which overflowed to master bedroom linens

: Location was GREAT! Our guys were able to just walk to the beach with all their fishing gear. The house felt like it was isolated even though there were homes next to us. There were enough pots, pans and other amenities to make our stay comfortable. There was even a pet station which was a very thoughtful touch. The host was very attentive and responsive from the day we booked and throughout our stay!
: The description of the house said there would be 3 bathrooms but there was only 2 bathrooms. No screens on most of the windows or the sliding glass door so didn't feel safe leaving them open to cool down the house. The floors in the kitchen and dining area were uneven. Would've liked a vacuum or even a dustpan for the provided broom.

: Did not know ahead of time that we would be expected to strip all beds, do two loads of laundry, collect all garbage, and run the dishwasher. If this was not done there would be additional charges. This should have been agreed on at booking time. I would never have agreed. Usually go on vacation and rely on housekeeping services. House keeping could have been included in the rate.

: We loved the house. The kitchen was adorable and we liked the way its set up. Lots of seating and the little couch in the master bedroom was the perfect size for my son to sleep on. Oh...and we loved the bath tub. We also appreciated the host and her communication!!
: The only thing that we did not care for was the bed in one of the bedrooms. The frame has make-shift cross bars/boards, which is totally fine, however, they moved and twice making the mattress fall which hurt my daughters back the first time because if how she was sitting. She is fine, it was just a bump. If at all possible, maybe more boards across or something. Everything else was great!!!

: We liked that it was a short walk to the beach and there was a crosswalk to go over highway 101. We enjoyed the vintage decor and felt the owner made a lot of effort to decorate it and make it comfortable. We found the beds and pillows very comfortable. We liked the coffee machine choices and coffee pods/k cups.
: 1. they don’t tell you up front that you cannot use the hot tub and also that they would’ve charged a fee of $25/night for it2. they have hidden pet fees and policies so we didn’t feel like it was very pet friendly in the end, example you can’t have more than one 50 pound dog (according to the paper we found at the rental). I was made to feel they were doing me a favor by not charging me $120-150 for one medium sized dog and $75 for the hot tub we couldn’t use when I told them it was disappointing about a house describing a hot tub you could not use. Unfortunately, I could not shake the feeling I was taken advantage of and when another place came through with a quote for a similar-sized house with ocean view for $200 less, it solidified that feeling. The quote came after I had booked this one. I think the owner wanted to make things right for me in some regards and was super responsive to texts because they knew I was upset about the hot tub situation (offering one hour late check out after another issue came up ) but in the end we felt we would not recommend this rental to other people. There were just too many issues for us. But if you don’t have pets or need a hot tub, then maybe you would enjoy it.
