  : My husband has stayed at this property before and as a veteran, the owner was happy to give him a discount. This time, I booked the stay. Upon check-in, we asked about receiving the veteran discount. The woman at the counter explained that she had already applied it. I was confused because how could she know when I booked it that we would ask for the discount? I asked her to check again. She assured me she had applied it. I was suspicious but didn't press further. Later, when I looked at my original booking, I noticed that I paid the same price as the booking amount...thus, no discount applied. When we went to check out, we let her know that the discount had not been applied. She said, "Oh sorry about that. Unfortunately, there's no way for me to refund you the discount difference but we'll be sure to give it to you next time." So...she said she applied it at the beginning but now she's saying she made a mistake by not giving it to us. I can't know for sure what happened but it felt like we were lied to and she just didn't want to give us the discount. This does not make me want to stay there ever again. There's a lack of integrity.
