  : Good location (20-30m by bus or streetcar to the French Quarter); area felt safe. Contactless check-in was straightforward and easy. Hosteeva customer service was helpful and easy to get ahold of. Lots of coffee in the room.
  : Walls are a bit thin and some of the other people staying there were loud late at night. No daily housekeeping service (this didn't bother me, but something to consider).

  : The room was clean and very cozy. We had AC, wifi, iron, fridge and a microwave. There were just enough towels. Hot and cold water was running with no problem. The location was good, easy to get to downtown, you can take street car or bus, and the area looks nice. Also there is a beautiful city park nearby, and some great local restaurants. I definitely recommend getting beignets in the city park’s Cafe Du Monde (see photo), and not in downtown, if you want to avoid a mile-long queue of hungry tourists! I can particularly recommend Clesi’s, just 5 min away by foot. They had amazing local food, very friendly and hospitable staff, and eating crawfish there was definitely the highlight of our trip (see photo).On the very first morning of our stay, someone tried to break into the hotel, broke the front door glass, and left pools of blood all over the stairs. Fortunately, everyone was safe and no one ended up actually trespassing. As scary as this may sound, I want to say that the property took all the necessary measures, and by the evening of the same day the door was repaired and all the blood stains were cleaned.
  : The room didn’t have any utensils, cups or water glasses. That was kind of weird, because there was a coffee machine and lots of coffee, but we could not drink it without the cups. I called to ask if we can have some utensils, and we were promised to have this issue solved by next morning. However, we never got to see any utensils in our room. Another issue was the two big fat cockroaches that we saw in the bathroom and near the fireplace. One of them deceased by the courtesy of my friend (see photo). Obviously I understand that it is a part of prolific Louisiana nature, but maybe something could be done about it.Lastly, the shower curtain didn’t smell great, and I would think it’s about time to replace it.

  : The room was Wonderful. Bed was comfy, and the location to the strip was amazing.
  : The customer service was horrible. I don't know what happen and how my reservation got mixed up, but after driving 10 hrs by myself. I get there and there is a door code but was never given a room number. I stand outside for a whole hour arguing, with customer service about my reservation, while getting hung up on, and having to call back. They told me that I didn't have one. they made me send screenshots of my bank account to show that I paid. Even after sending the all the information they asked for, they tried to put me in another retail property, where it was going to cost me a 1000 over for the weekend. FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE SUPERVISOR ASKS ME MY NAME (AFTER BEING ON THE PHONE FOR AN HR ARGUING, AND SOMEONE HUNG UP ON ME). THEY THEN FIND MY RESERVATION, I dont know why they didnt do that in the beginning, had they did that in the beginning, I would have given them 10s across the bored, even when i wasn't aware of this being a hostel. I was under the impression, that I was going to be staying in a duplex.
