Traveller Type: Traveling as Couple
: the hot tub was the only redeeming quality
: it wasnt cleaned properly the sheets were extremely dirty. they also tried to charge $50 for early checkin when we didnt actually check in early. also the house is built extremely poorly. it doesnt even have central heat. its heated by space heaters in the wall.

: The house was newer and there was a large, fenced backyard. Pretty well stocked and clean
: Where do I start? *CONSTRUCTION* down the street almost the ENTIRE time of our stay! Literally started at 6:30 am one morning and 7:00 am the other two (are there not city ordinances?) We could hear their conversations and music playing. No air conditioning meant windows open and noise until at least 5pm every day. The upper bonus/loft room was extremely hot and uncomfortable for kids and the screens were coming off and bent so I was terrified to open the windows being so high up with my 4 and 8 year olds being upstairs. No game/coffee tables for puzzles or games (we had to clear off monopoly and puzzles to be able to eat) Also the only place with a TV was upstairs in the HOT and stuffy loft/bonus room - with only a TV tray in the corner of the room to set things on. Bedroom by garage had a VERY squeaky bed that was so noisy every time we moved, it woke others in the next bedroom. The smoke detector on vaulted ceiling was removed, which is scary (and illegal, I believe?!) There was a piece of lumber lodged behind the cushions of the couch which was weird to say the least and a whole bunch of wet towels left in the dryer. Dog poop in the yard, which was mostly why we chose this location for kids. Absolutely no shade and only a dirty folding table for outdoor dining. Almost ran out of propane for the grill. Meredith Lodging was next to impossible to reach! They rarely answer and took up to 3 days to respond to message so I found myself calling numerous times on different occasions because 2 credit cards were being used and after being assured we had no more upcoming charges, we were charged again. (Really? Rental home management services dont frequently have multi-family guests using separate cards?!) Also our guest portal login wouldnt work and 2 email receipts had no content, which meant....we had to call back! Very unhelpful!
