  : Love the location;the restaurant was GREAT. In a city of wonderful food, we chose to return to the hotel restaurant more than one night.
  : The first girl behind the check-in desk was very bland and not welcoming. Fortunately, she was replaced by two other ladies on the successive days, one of whom was the GM. They were both helpful and engaging.

  : We enjoyed the Southern charm of the Guest House, including the very generous and delicious breakfast included in our stay. The staff were very friendly, and the convenient location allowed us the benefit of being able to walk to most any attraction downtown.
  : The toilet in our room oftentimes made sounds ... we are guessing the tank needed adjustment, but this was hampered by a shelving unit that was installed right above the tank lid ... so this might impede immediate access for repair purposes. We simply closed the bathroom door in the evenings to mute those sounds.

  : Best part: great breakfast and good Mediterranean dinner, close free parking, central downtown location (so not leafy green but the exterior patio for the inn’s restaurant is very nice). Restaurant staff excellent. The negatives: very strong odor or gas (propane? Butane?) that two staff members discounted but it was really unpleasant snd somewhat alarming. Our experience was that hotel staff was minimally present but restaurant staff was really on it. Restaurant was our main connection during two night stay.
  : See above re gas odor. Cannot recommend room 157 (booked as Rosalie Beekman room): it’s right on restaurant hallway, has only one window onto interior air shaft therefore dark, inadequate room lighting and tired bed linens. Upstairs rooms or front rooms are maybe nicer.
