  : I didn't like the hotel's lobby and restaurants, every time my wife and I arrived, it felt like we were at someone's house, always full of people, children, noise, every day, I can guarantee that, because in two weeks I stayed at the hotel twice, thinking that what I had experienced the first time was an event, I realized that no, always like that, I believe that they use the hotel as if they were someone's house and not a hotel, another point, no there is a driver to maneuver the car when I arrived at night.

  : Really enjoyed our stay here. We wanted a quiet beach vacation and this property fulfilled most of what we were looking for. Our room was huge and the beds were among the most comfortable we've come across. Everything was spotless and staff clearly took great pride in the property. The pool was very nice and relaxing. Staff overall were super welcoming and friendly. We also really enjoyed the neighborhood. The Altair is close enough to South Beach and Miami to easily visit, but removed from the mayhem.
  : The property should be more explicit that they cater to the Orthodox Jewish community. I can totally see people booking this property without knowing this, or not equating "Kosher" to Orthodox when reading through the description. I'm very glad that The Altair exists to serve the religious needs of this community. However, this can result in awkward interactions between religious and non-religious guests and definitely alters the vibe. For us, a gay couple, we definitely got some less than friendly looks at the pool and when walking around. I want to be clear that the staff were ALWAYS welcoming. That's not an issue. But prospective guests should fully understand what they are booking and decide if it's appropriate for them.The beach club is a nice perk, but could use some improvements. To be clear, it is a small section of reserved Boucher Bros. loungers and umbrellas on Haulover Beach. You need to bring towels from the hotel and come prepared. Once you're there, there's nothing around. We were lucky that the staff that day had the capacity to take orders from a nearby cafe and deliver them to us, but apparently this isn't always the case depending on who's working. Alcohol is not available for purchase.
