  : Refurbished older hotel. Would have rated higher but had a serious safety issue. Host were very friendly and accommodating. Bed was comfortable
  : Lots of room for improvement and safety issue. 1) Sign and drive leading up to hotel rough and unlit. Would be hard to find if not using GPS2) Was given a king size bed with jacuzzi room but jacuzzi was not working3) AC was turn off when arrived and room was musty. Temp control knob was missing. Had to use pliers to adjust. 4) refrigerator did not work5) SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE: The shower drain plate was not secured. Resulted in it slipping out from under wife’s foot as she exited shower and falling. She hit her head on the cabinet and landed on left side. Had to travel to emergency room where we spent 9hrs. Did not get back to room til 9am. Host did let us get some time to sleep and offered another night free of charge.

  : Location was fine.
  : Almost everything. The facilities were very rundown, old and housekeeping forgot to supply adequate towels and toiletries. The sign had no name on it. It reminded us of the Rosebud Hotel from “Schitts Creek”. You should take this off your list immediately!!

  : Positives were the location - easily accessible by car and close to Lee and Lenox, parking, sheets were clean, the air conditioner worked. Staff were friendly. Last minute bookings were possible. TV and microwave worked.
  : Negatives were just about everything else. This motel has a big sign out front that says "Inn" with what presumably said Rodeway taped over with duct tape. The facilities seemed very old and worn, towels were thin and threadbare in spots, the handle in the shower was missing pieces, two of the three windows didn't open, the refrigerator had dents in the door, the freezer didn't freeze anything except a large amount of frost that was built up in it. Our key cards looked old and worn and we had to have them reset a couple of times because we were locked out of our room. We found three different types of bugs in our room on three different days - a large ant, some sort of beetle, and a SLUG.

  : Pool was green and manager said the town wouldn't let him open it up. Refrigerator didn't work but was plugged in. We had a fireplace but no way to turn it on. Outlets were not covered. Owner had to clean because of lack of help. Towels were soft. Shampoo was used to 1/4 of the bottle. We had stayed there other years and loved it so it must be under new management.

  : The American Inn was perfect for my friend and my stay in Lee. The facilities are in the process of being updated, but the rooms are kept clean and are well-sized, while the staff is welcoming and goes out of their way to make sure you're as comfortable as can be. If I'm back in the area I would definitely stay again!
