Residence Inn by Marriott Lake Norman

Very Good
Traveller Type: solo traveller
: I did not get breakfast at the hotel. The staff was courteous and helpful. The room was more than adequate for one person. It was clean and comfortable.
: n/aI was very satisfied with the accommodations.

Disappointing
Traveller Type: young couple
: Loud noises throughout the room AC compressor unit at the foot of the bed made more noise than it did cooling. Could not hear anything at all well after the toilet has been flushed
: I asked about all of my complaints and I was told all of the rooms are like that.

Fair

: Location. Also I love residence inn for the space and microwave and full size refrigerator
: This was not our normal Residence Inn experience. The room smelled bad the basin drained very slowly. The faucet was switched around so hot was cold and cold was hot. The Aircon was very loud and the icemaker in the refrigerator didn’t work but kept making loud noises.

: The location was great, but getting there was a nightmare. The traffic was absolutely horrible. Once we got near the hotel it was okay. I thought the room and location were great.
: The outside door closest to our room was not working so it made getting there a hassle but it wasn't the end of the world.

Poor
Traveller Type: group
: The properties location for visiting family members was convenient.
: The manager was very rude and not helpful. The manager made excuses for everything. He seemed uninterested in doing anything to fix any problems. The properties cleaning schedule of cleaning every other day was inconvenient. Even when the suite, room 208 was so called cleaned it was not. No toilet paper in one bathroom and just a feeling of a poorly managed hotel. It was like they couldn’t get just the basics right. Like the countertops in the kitchen area not wiped down. Wouldn’t stay at this hotel again.

: Breakfast was good. Staff was great.
: Gym was lackluster. Rooms were not worth the price. They were old fashioned and we had to kill a bug within 10 minutes of being therr

: Place is dated. Breakfast meh. Not what I’d expect from a Marriott but not many Marriotts live up to their name these days. Sad. Or rooms flooded with water so we had to change rooms at 1 am. Things happen.
  : Place meds a remodel.
