  : The breakfast was excellent, and the hosts were very accommodating with any questions and any requests. The house had beautiful views and it was great to sit outside for breakfast every day. The rooms were nice and the bathrooms spacious. The house had thinner walls, so we could hear our upstairs neighbour, but otherwise the accommodations were comfortable.

  : Breakfasts were great -esp. the fruit plate starter The smoothies also wonderful. Hosts were outstanding and so generous.Loved all the greenery and fresh from the property food on the fabulous lanai.
  : The bump at the bottom of the road was a little challenging for a low clearance car. Other than that we can't think of a single thing we didn't like.

  : The hosts were exceptionally warm, helpful, and down to earth. The room was spacious. Very nice breakfast on a wonderful lanai overlooking the entire area.

  : The owners are charming, friendly and very informative of what to do, where to go, tips on travel. Breakfast was delish. Loved having fruit from their trees....the best bananas ever!!!! It was nice having the opportunity to cook our own dinner if and when desired. When turning onto the road to the property we found it necessary not to turn left onto the road but instead drive by, make a u-turn and then turn right on the road. We had a low clearance car so saved the car:) Beautiful area. We enjoyed the other guests as well.
  : The bathroom floor could have been cleaner...someone else's dental floss there.

  : Only cold water for showers after breakfast. Deferred maintenance on some railings. Driveway is a bit harrowing.

  : The location is ideal for spending a day or two near the touristy center of Kailua/Kona without being in the thick of it.It's fun to drive up the hill and be perched above the beaches and town. The elevation provides slightly cooler temperatures which is nice for sleeping.The lanai is a lovely hang out spot, we enjoyed watching the sunset.
  : Typically I use the overall rating and a skim read through the reviews, both good and bad, to decide on booking a place. I apparently didn't read the bad reviews on the Lilikoi Inn, because when I read them while there they summed up our experience :(See my pictures. The public/shared areas of this place are filthy. I have a fairly high tolerance for some grunge, but it's truly gross. All the light fixtures are encased in dust, spider webs and spiders (dead and alive). My picture of a light fixture is the one directly over the sink and clean dishes rack."Guest Kitchen" is advertised as being well equipped - there are inordinate amounts of tableware - but I couldn't find a single pan. Let's consider the tableware - I had to dig through the silverware to find a fork that didn't have remnants of food on it. Likewise the plates. However we did receive a lecture about being sure to do our own dishes immediately so Trina (owner) "doesn't have to deal with them". When my spouse was doing our dishes in the evening, she brought hers out and put them in the sink next to him and said "I'll do those in the morning".One of the reasons we selected this place was the hot tub - it was our plan for our final evening in Hawai'i. When we asked to see it while checking in we were told in a manner that was both dismissive and unapologetic that it wasn't working. We also were regaled with a "poor me" story about having to wait "weeks" for someone to fix it. When wandering the grounds later I came across the hot tub - it clearly hasn't been used in a very long time. See picture - not pictured are the broken steps up to the platform the tub is on. It clearly hasn't been in use for many months - and if someone came to work on it they wouldn't be able to because it is full of and surrounded by junk. The website and description should be updated to reflect there isn't a hot tub.

  : Peace full, cool, unbelievable breakfast, nice knowledgeable host. Great view. Nice room. Many of the ingredients for breakfast came from the property.
  : Nothing really. A note for other visitors, location best if have rental car. At night the sounds of the forest, tree frogs and crickets can be loud. Didn’t see them just heard them.

  : The room was a little dark and damp. The stay could benefit from a working heater dehumidifier and television. The driveway is steep for a car causing scraping.

  : The view from the shared deck was beautiful, we always came back to see the sunset. Breakfast was better than restaurant quality. They also had beach chairs and snorkeling gear available which made it really convenient and the host helped us plan out some of our days. Would definitely stay again.
  : The driveway is a little steep so just be aware that you may need to drive past and enter from the other side. It’s definitely achievable but it was a tad intimidating.
