Lake of the Springs Camping Resort Yurt 1

  : We thought this place was great. We stayed in a Yurt. It was cute and spacious. It slept 6 comfortably. There was a full kitchen with dishes and everything.as well as a bathroom with hot shower. I liked the fact that it was not crowded of course it was because there was no lake. My kids liked the mini golf but it was kinda falling apart. I loved the swimming pool, however it was CLOSED for most of my stay. The water was the whole reason i drove ALL the way out there on my BIRTHDAYif it had been a hot hot day and no pool and no lake i would of NEVER EVEN CONSIDERED THIS PLACE. Although, 2 days before i left for the trip i got an email explaining no lake and no fires but it said there WAS A POOL!! It did NOT SAY IT WOULD BE CLOSED DURING MY VISIT which was Wednesday and Thursday that the pool is closed. i would think a place like this would have some kind of water available regularly, beings how it is advertised as so. Or at least be able to cancel reservations due to the property is not what it was said to be when i paid 170$ a night .. non-refundable
  : There was nobody to talk to or get directed to my yurt when we arrived. The paperwork was not where it was said to be found. The person to talk to was not there nor expected to be back before we went home. The store closes super early. It was closed before we arrived. The pool and clubhouse and store all close at like 5 pm but the front gate is still open for anyone to come in. We ended up staying the night in another room that happened to of been unlocked. It wasnt cleaned from the previous guests but it was a place to stay the night until we found someone to direct us to the yurt we paid for. We didnt find the open door until after midnight. The next day came and we found out the pool was closed on Wednesday and Thursday EVERY WEEK. Water was the reason for booking the yurt. The lake was drained and the pool was closed. I GOT a notice a DAY before i was scheduled to visit, however the yurt was UNREFUNDABLE AND THE NOTICE SAID THE POOL WOULD BE OPEN AND AVAILABLE!! I wanted to cancel when the lake was closed but sunce the pool was supposed to be open i went. When it was not open we were VERY UPSET. The lady i spoke to said there was nothing they could do about the pool being closed.

  : The store was only opened from 10-4 closed on Monday when we needed some things.. no security driving around at night .. the lake was ok but its growing weeds
