  : The location was convenient to downtown Philadelphia, local shopping and good restaurants.
  : COVID protocols, especially regarding the wearing of masks, were inconsistent. None of the staff wore masks, and it appeared to be optional for guests, but all of the signage indicated otherwise. My family was fine with the option but there was no clarity about it. To make matters worse, what was very clear was that any issues were handled under the cover of "short-staffing due to COVID". So it's too much of a concern to keep regular housekeeping and maintenance schedules, but not to walk around or be consistent? The staff was friendly but ineffectual. But these are matters of comfort and convenience and can actually be easily forgiven. My biggest problem is that the rates charged by this hotel are not comparable (i.e., more expensive) to similarly or even better rated chains in the area and was definitely not worth the rate. The outside of the hotel is very nice and appears new, but the inside is not as up to date. The room layout is uncomfortable, the rooms are not large. There isn't consistency between rooms either--some rooms are more up to date, with smart TVs, while others aren't and don't have those amenities, but that's not specified.
