: My room was really comfortable and spacious. The cleaning was on a high level. The hotel kindly accepted a package for me even before my arrival. The staff was professional. I absolutely loved the location and surrounding area. Even though I do have a couple of things that bothered me, I was pretty satisfied overall and I would look at the Ivy again for my next visit to Chicago.
: Two things. Number one, noise, not from the outside, but from the inside. Sound proofing is not good and you can hear neighbors and sounds from the corridor. While I was lucky that it did not happen too many times that I experienced noise from outside my room, there was noise within the room itself that drove me crazy at night. I found out that it came from the mini-fridge that I could not switch off. So sleeping was a bit of a struggle. Number two, the so called damage deposit. I was aware at the time of booking that the hotel requires 250USD deposit at check-in and that amount was stated in the confirmation. Then to my surprise the deposit I was actually asked for was 300USD?! In my opinion 250USD is already unreasonably high and this even higher amount left a very bad impression. I received my money back only after 3 weeks which is also not acceptable (regardless of who is to blame in that chain).

: The property itself was beautiful and the rooms were very spacious!
: Immediately when I entered the room, you could tell the floor was very dirty and needed to be mopped! There were also leftover false lashes in the bathroom shower. The floor to the bathroom was filthy as well.

: I loved that this hotel was only 4 or 5 blocks from Navy pier and 2 or 3 from the Riverwalk and 6ish to Millennium Park. It’s central to everything and very walkable. We felt super safe and parking in their parking garage is right around the corner. The staff were super friendly and helpful too! The rooms are very updated and we LOVED the bathroom and seating area! Very modern and comfortable.
: The internet was terrible but that’s the ONLY bad thing honestly!
