  : Quite the unique experience to sleep in an old firehouse that was converted into a hotel and restaurant!. Check-in is at the attached restaurant, Ladder 1, bar. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We dined at Ladder 1 and the food was excellent, and accompanied by live bluegrass. The room was very clean and comfortable. The room has a Keurig coffee machine A fun stay.
  : We liked everything. Note that there is no elevator, so you need to carry your luggage upstairs.

  : Lovely, well remodeled fire station theme inn. A fun stay. It was very clean and decorated well. We had everything we needed and ate dinner in the restaurant below. Parking was a problem and the stairs were difficult.
  : The stairs were hard to navigate with luggage. Locals coming to eat at the restaurant take up the parking. There needs to be another table/bench in the bedroom to put things on. It is a long way from the bathroom to the bedroom.

  : Fun atmosphere. Loved all the history of the building. Restaurant had crazy Halloween decorations. Very comfortable bed.

  : We loved having a restaurant right downstairs. Friendly staff and amazing food. The room was quiet and felt homey. Beautiful location, we will definitely be back again.

  : Converted firehouse was very interesting and unique. Old pictures hanging on the hallway walls. Our room had a kitchenette in it and it was a suite. Comfortable bed and very clean. Restaurant under the rooms operates until 9:00 so the sounds come upstairs. However, the sound is not overly loud and once it closes down then the rooms are very quiet.

  : This is the second time we've stayed at the Firehouse Inn, so I guess that tells you that we like it. It's a very unique property, and a very nicely done re-purposing of the original fire house. It's also convenient that there's a pretty lively bar/restaurant on the lower level, which to our surprise, was not noisy at night.
  : Two things to keep in mind. One is that there is absolutely no closet or wardrobe--just 3 coat hooks. I sort of understand why given the remodeling that was done, though to be honest most of the mini-kitchen--while very cute--could have been more effectively used for a place to hang clothes. The other is that Barre isn't really a particularly nice locale. Not dangerous or sketchy--just not especially attractive or including much to do. We were willing to put up with that for the uniqueness of the property.
