  : The location and price seemed ideal - just outside the entrance to Mount Rainier National Park and a price within our budget. That's all that makes this place appealing.
  : A comfortable bed. A working toilet. I'm easy to please. The Gateway Inn failed.While driving to the motel, I got a call from them asking when we'd be arriving. I told them we'd make every effort to be there before the office closed at 7 pm. We arrived at 6:45 pm. We checked in and were shown to our room. Two women traveling and first order of business was the bathroom. The toilet didn't work. No water in the tank. I rushed to the office. They had no other vacant rooms, but said they'd work to fix it. I asked for suggestions for dinner while they did that. They recommended a place about a mile back. It was packed, closing at 8 pm (on a Friday in June), and couldn't accommodate us. Driving further back down the road to get cell service and find something that was open. Nearest restaurant was 16 miles back in Eatonville (one of the towns we sped through). So off we went.Back at the motel about 9 pm, took our bags inside and crashed. The room had two queen beds. I took one, my adult daughter took the other. Her bed had a fairly deep divot in it. Mine was just extremely uncomfortable. I've slept better on the ground with no pad beneath my sleeping bag. Giving up hope of sleep about 5 am, I got up to use the bathroom. Daughter was already in the shower. Standing 4'11", weighing 90 lbs, yet she said the shower was small. As for me, once again, the toilet didn't work. I lifted the lid off the tank and forced it to refill, allowing me one flush.Now let's talk about the room. The furnishings looked like an accumulation of castoffs when someone redecorated their 1980's bachelor pad and stuff that didn't sell at great aunt's estate sale. The full-size refrigerator might have been more useful with a kitchenette.We reserved and paid for two nights, but left after 11 hrs. They shouldn't be allowed to rent this room.

  : Cute cabins, nice grounds, incredibly close to the entrance of the park.
  : Everything was great, except I wish they had given us three bath towels, knowing we had booked the cabin for three people. They only gave us two bath towels. By the time we realized, the office was closed.
